    Dave Meltzer (on WrestlingObserver.com) wrote on November 17: Roddy Piper underwent surgery this week after leaving the U.K. tour early. It is believed surgery was due to a disc problem. Piper will be out of Survivor Series and a replacement wrestler will be named to the legends team. Piper not participating in the match where he and Ric Flair lost the tag team titles in Manchester, England was due to the intense pain he was in. At the time it was believed to have been either a bowel problem or kidney stones.
