    December 25, 2006: Konnan did not have the scheduled hip replacement surgery because when they opened him up, they found his kidneys in terrible shape and didn't want to risk surgery. Konnan returned to the United States and underwent kidney dialysis regularly for a week. He was scheduled for surgery the following week, but the bad news is his kidneys are so damaged he needs a kidney transplant.
